 Halloween!  My favorite day of the year, as has been well established, I know.  We had a great time trick or treating with the cousins, despite the rain and cold.  Only 361 days til Halloween 2013!  Better start planning an awesome costume.  Maybe something Doctor Who related next year.  Don’t expect me to go blonde to play Rose.  I was blonde once for about 5 minutes.  It was verrrry strange.  In the meantime, be thankful for much, remember to VOTE, and stay warm.  It won’t be long until it snows!

Our local, all volunteer fire department turns the station house into a haunted house for the kids every year.  You pay a dollar and walk through to trick or treat at various stopping points inside.  We love it.  When you come back out you can explore the fire trucks, check out an ambulance, get free smoke detector batteries, and learn about fire safety in the fire safety demonstration trailer.  We love our fire department.

Massively busy week coming up, starting right off with a midterm.  I’m exhausted just thinking about it.  Tuesday will be an especially long day, but I get to meet Louis Zamperini, which I’m hugely excited about.  Expect photos.

Rainy rainy rainy weekend.  We went to see Paranorman at the cheap theater today and loved it.  We stayed in other than that though.  I’ve spent the weekend cleaning and working on my case study, that is unfortunately a group project.  (This whole endeavor has thoroughly reminded me why I loathe group projects.)  All the rain is making the Mister grumpy.  We all know I don’t mind the rain so much at all.  I managed to get some new listings up in the etsy – go buy yourself something pretty!  And tomorrow is Monday again already.  How does that keep happening?

i wanted to call him walter, but it seems i’m being outvoted.  as usual.  meet the newest resident of the compound.  our rescue goat.  he’s very scared, just at the moment, but we think in a few days he’ll start feeling more comfortable.

i suddenly decided today that i needed to start another photo project.  of course, i don’t really have time for it, so clearly, i am insane.  this is my fourth – no, fifth – 52 weeks project, my third year of sundays.  i got these vintage teacups and saucers at a garage sale yesterday.  very mad men.
